Yes, you can connect more than one account on the same marketplace, with no Treecat limit. Each account is its own row on **Settings → Marketplaces**, where you can set the default account, give it a name and picture, open its marketplace settings, pause syncing, reconnect it or remove it.

## Add another account on the same marketplace

1. Go to **Settings → Marketplaces** and click **Add marketplace**.
2. Choose the marketplace under **Add another account**.
3. Sign in to the other account. For eBay, sign in to that eBay account in a separate browser tab first, because Treecat connects whichever eBay account you are signed in to.

Each marketplace has its own rules about running several accounts, and you are responsible for following them.

## What can I do on each account row?

| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Star (**Set as default**) | Makes this the default account for that marketplace. The List dialog starts on the default account unless you pick another. |
| **Reconnect** | Logs in again on the same account. Safe to use any time. See [Reconnect a marketplace](https://wiki.treecat.io/reconnect-a-marketplace). |
| Gear (**Marketplace settings**) | Settings for that account, on marketplaces that have them, such as eBay business policies and store categories. |
| Pencil (**Edit profile**) | Gives the account a custom name and image, so you can tell accounts apart across Treecat. |
| Trash (**Delete account**) | Removes the account from Treecat. Read the warning below first. |
| **Sync** switch | Pauses or resumes all Treecat activity for that account. |

In the Inventory page, the **Accounts** filter shows items for one account at a time, and accounts with more than one per marketplace appear as numbered icons (for example eBay 1 and eBay 2). See [Find items with filters](https://wiki.treecat.io/find-items-with-filters#accounts).

## Refresh eBay business policies and store categories

Treecat reads your eBay payment, shipping and return business policies and your store categories from eBay. If you create a new policy or store category on eBay later:

1. On **Settings → Marketplaces**, click the gear next to the eBay account.
2. Under **Business policies and Store categories**, click **Refresh policies**.

Refreshing starts an inventory and store categories import for that account, which also re-reads your policies, store categories and locations. If business policies are not enabled on the eBay account, turn them on in your eBay account settings first. See [eBay auctions, promotions and policies](https://wiki.treecat.io/ebay-listing-features).

## How do I stop all communication with a marketplace for a while?
Turn off the **Sync** switch next to the account on **Settings → Marketplaces**. This pauses Treecat's interaction with that account: no imports, sales checks or actions. Turn it back on later, and Treecat imports anything new it finds.

While syncing is paused, sales on that account are not detected, so items that sell there are not delisted elsewhere.

## Should I delete an account I no longer use?

Only if you really have stopped using it. Do not delete an account and add it again as a fix for a login problem; use **Reconnect** instead. Deleting and re-adding can leave orphaned items that Treecat can no longer match to the account.

Accounts you remove still appear under **Removed** in the inventory Accounts filter, so you can find and clean up items that were linked to them. To keep those listings, move them to another account first; see [Move listings between accounts](https://wiki.treecat.io/move-listings-between-accounts).
