# Link existing listings across marketplaces with Matching

> Already listed on several marketplaces? Import everything, then use Inventory → Matching to link the same item so a sale on one delists the others.

You do not have to relist anything. Treecat imports the listings already on your marketplaces, and **Inventory → Matching** suggests which listings are the same item. Accept a suggestion to link them, and from then on a sale on one marketplace delists the others. [Fix Duplicates](https://wiki.treecat.io/fix-duplicates) cleans up repeats, and [Confirm Quantity](https://wiki.treecat.io/quantity-and-multi-quantity) pushes the right quantity to every live listing.

## Start from what you already have
When you connect a marketplace, Treecat imports your active listings and sales history, then keeps checking for new listings you create directly on the marketplace. Importing is free and there is no item limit. See [Import your listings and sales](https://wiki.treecat.io/import-listings-and-sales).

## Link the same item across marketplaces
1. Open **Inventory → Matching** and click **Calculate**. Treecat looks through your inventory and groups items that look alike, each with a match percentage.
2. Review the suggested groups under **To review**. Each group shows the listings Treecat thinks are the same item.
3. Click **Accept & link** on each correct group. To accept many at once, use **Accept High (+90%)** for all high-confidence suggestions, or **Accept custom accuracy level** to choose your own threshold.
4. If asked which photos the linked item should keep, choose **Merge all images**, **Keep only primary listing images**, or images from the marketplaces you pick.
5. Click **Dismiss** on a wrong suggestion. It only removes the suggestion, never a listing. Dismissed suggestions move to the **Dismissed** tab, where **Restore to review** brings one back.

Linked items are treated as crosslisted: auto-delist protects them, and their sale is billable (see [What counts as a billable event](https://wiki.treecat.io/what-counts-as-a-billable-event)). If you do not want an item billed, do not match it.

> **Tip:** Review suggestions at low and medium percentages carefully, and match items by hand if needed. You can show 50 or 100 groups per page, or choose **Endless scroll**.

## Match one item by hand

Open the item and click **Match** in its action bar. Treecat helps you find and link the matching listing on another marketplace.

## Unlink items that were matched by mistake

- **From the Inventory page:** select the item and choose **⋯ → Unmatch** in the action bar.
- **From the item page:** click **Unlink** to split the cross-marketplace link for that item.

## Clean up duplicates
**Inventory → Fix Duplicates** finds repeated listings within a marketplace account. Mark the one to keep and approve, and Treecat delists and deletes the rest. See [Fix duplicate items](https://wiki.treecat.io/fix-duplicates).

## Keep quantities consistent
- Each sale lowers the item's available quantity by the quantity sold. At zero, the other listings are delisted.
- If quantities have drifted, select items in Inventory or Sales and use **Confirm Quantity**. Treecat pushes that quantity to every live listing; agent-based marketplaces update over the next few minutes.
- Each item's **Events** timeline shows what was updated and when.

### Do I need SKUs to link listings?

No. Treecat matches listings by their content and you confirm the matches. Once linked, they share one inventory item and quantity.

No. Import them and link them with Matching.

### Is Matching free?

Running Matching is free. A linked item becomes billable when it sells, like any crosslisted item.
