# Refresh your oldest listings gradually

> Sort by listing date, relist your oldest items about 100 a day, then put the whole inventory on a 30, 60 or 90-day relist schedule.

Sort your inventory by **listing date**, oldest first, select the first 100 or so items and choose **Relist → Relist now**. Repeat daily until every old listing has a recent date, then select your whole inventory and set a relist schedule of 30, 60 or 90 days. Relisting in small daily batches stays inside marketplace limits.

## Step by step

1. On **Inventory → Products**, click **Sorted by** and choose **Listing date**, oldest first.
2. Optionally add **Quantity > 0** so you only relist items in stock.
3. Select the first 100 items. Hold **Shift** while clicking to select a range.
4. Click **Relist**, tick the stores and choose **Relist now**.
5. Repeat the next day with the next oldest items, until every old listing has a recent listing date.
6. Then select your whole inventory, click **Relist** and choose **Keep relisting on a schedule** with 30, 60 or 90 days.

> **Tip:** The "Stale stock" view is a useful preset: Dates → Listing date is before a date 90 days ago, plus Quantity > 0, sorted by Listing date. Save it under **Presets**. See [Find items with filters](https://wiki.treecat.io/find-items-with-filters).

## How often can I relist?

- Do not choose a frequency lower than the marketplace allows. Treecat enforces at least **61 days on Poshmark** and **14 days on Facebook Marketplace**.
- **eBay:** a relist frequency of 29 days keeps listings from reaching eBay's 30-day mark. eBay may charge insertion fees for new listings.
- Relist in small batches rather than your whole inventory at once.

The Delist & relist dialog has a section you can expand to review each marketplace's limits before you apply.

## Should I use eBay's "End item / Sell similar" instead?

No. Ending and re-listing items directly on eBay is the most common cause of duplicates in Treecat: Treecat imports the new listing as a brand-new item and keeps the old one. Treecat's **Relist** delists and relists the item the same way while keeping track of the new listing id and your crosslinks. If you already have duplicates, see [Fix duplicate items](https://wiki.treecat.io/fix-duplicates).

## Does relisting need my computer on?

For Poshmark, Mercari, Whatnot, Facebook Marketplace and Etsy, yes, because relisting runs through the Treecat agent. eBay relists run from Treecat's servers. See [Delist, relist and Poshmark sharing](https://wiki.treecat.io/delist-relist-and-poshmark-sharing).
