An item sold but is still listed somewhere
Use Confirm Quantity on the Sales page to re-check sold items on every marketplace, and the Problems page to fix sales whose delists did not finish.
Use Confirm Quantity. It re-checks the item on every marketplace and delists it where the Treecat quantity is 0, or keeps or relists it where the quantity is above 0. Run it from the Sales page on the period you want to check, then use the Qty sync filter to find anything that still failed. The Problems page finds and fixes these cases for you.
Fix it with Confirm Quantity
- Go to the Sales page and use Dates to filter to the period you want, such as the last few months.
- Select the sales and click Confirm Quantity (top right).
- To check the results, open the Qty sync filter and choose Failed. Click the error indicator on any sale to see what went wrong.
- Fix the cause (for example bring the agent online or reconnect the marketplace), select those sales and run Confirm Quantity again.
Each sale shows its quantity sync status: Qty sync running (yellow), Qty synced (green) or Qty sync failed (red). Listings on agent-based marketplaces update over the next few minutes, not all at once; the item's Events timeline shows the progress.
Treecat also runs Confirm Quantity automatically on every new sale, as a second check.
Why did the delist fail?
The most common reasons are:
- The agent was offline when the sale was detected (Poshmark, Mercari, Whatnot, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy). See The agent keeps going offline.
- The marketplace login had expired. See Reconnect a marketplace.
- The marketplace refused the action. For example, Poshmark cannot delist an item that has a pending offer.
- The listings were never linked. If you listed the item yourself on each marketplace before using Treecat, it only delists elsewhere once the listings are matched.
For the exact message, open the item's Events tab, or see Error messages explained.
Use the Problems page
Inventory → Problems (Inventory problems) lists sales whose cross-marketplace cleanup did not finish, with the fix one click away.
- Open Inventory → Problems and click Run audit. Treecat checks whether your recent sales left any marketplace listing in an inconsistent state.
- Review the list and select the fixes you want.
- Click Fix selected. Each fix is re-checked against the live listing right before it runs; anything that no longer applies is skipped.
What if I sold it on a marketplace Treecat doesn't support?
Treecat cannot see that sale. Set the quantity to 0 in Treecat, or delist the item, so it comes down from your other marketplaces. No fee is charged in that case.
How do I keep this from happening?
- Keep the computer running the agent on and awake.
- Reconnect marketplaces promptly when Treecat emails you.
- After any time the agent was offline, run Confirm Quantity on that period's sales.
