What the colored rings and "unsynced" mean
The ring around each marketplace icon shows the listing's status. What each color means, what unsynced is, and how to push unsaved edits to a live listing.
Each marketplace icon on a product card has a ring that shows the listing's status there: solid green means live and in sync, dashed green means live but with changes that have not been pushed yet ("unsynced"), and dashed blue means ready to list. Hover over an icon to see its status in words.
What does each ring mean?
| Ring | Status | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Solid green | Live · synced | The item is live on that marketplace and matches Treecat. |
| Dashed green | Live · out of sync | The item is live, but Treecat has changes that have not reached the listing. See "unsynced" below. |
| Dashed blue | Ready to list | Prepared in Treecat but not listed on that marketplace yet. |
| Solid amber | Pending | A listing action (list, update, delist) is in progress. |
| Solid red | Draft | Saved as a draft for that marketplace. Open the item to finish it. |
| Solid grey | Archived | The listing is archived. |
| Faint grey | Not listed | There is no listing on that marketplace. |
If an action failed, open the item and check its Events tab for the reason; the Warnings filter also finds items with sync problems. See Why won't an item list?
What does "unsynced" mean, and how do I fix it?
"Unsynced" (Listed (unsynced), or Live · out of sync) means the Treecat item has a change that has not reached the marketplace listing. Even a stray space counts.
- If the item is already live, select it and run Update to push your changes. The dashed ring turns solid.
- If the item was never listed there, use List instead.
What does "Heads up — you're editing a live listing" mean?
Treecat autosaves your edits on the item page as you type. When the marketplace listing is live, a banner reminds you:
Heads up — you're editing a live listing (autosaved). Apply saves your changes; they reach the marketplace on your next Update (or an automatic relist).
- Apply changes saves your edits to the item in Treecat.
- Your changes reach the live listing when you next run Update, or at the next automatic relist.
- Reset to live values throws the autosaved edits away and goes back to what is live.
If the banner says the saved listing changed while you were editing (for example a sync or autofill updated it), review the form before applying.
For an item that is not listed yet, a smaller line says the draft was autosaved but not saved to the product. Click Save to keep your changes, or Discard to drop them.
